Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a car accident driving to his home late Sunday night in Tallahatchie County in the Mississippi Delta. Freeman, 71, is in serious condition and has a broken arm and shoulder.Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Ben Williams confirmed Freeman was airborne when the registered Nissan Maxima left the highway and landed in the ditch to the side. They had to use the jaws of life to get Freeman out of the car.
Currently Freeman is at THE MED Hospital in Memphis Tenn. The popular actor has grown into one of the most respected figures in Hollywood. He is currently appearing in the record-breaking blockbuster hit “The Dark Knight,” the latest in the Batman series.
