Jake Locker was devastated after a 1-point loss Saturday night. The sophomore Washington Huskies quarterback did everything right in what seemed to be a possible upset win to the No. 15 ranked BYU, but shouldn't had to apologize to all of his teammates at the end of the game.

Locker was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct excessive celebration after he scored what could have been a game-tying touchdown run with 2 seconds left, but BYU's Jan Jorgensen blocked the 35-yard PAT to help the Cougars hold to a 28-27 victory.

Locker drove the Huskies down the field 76 yards in 17 plays and scored a 3-yard touchdown run with 2 seconds left on the clock. After he got into the end zone he threw the football up into the air celebrating because he made a GREAT play. The refs threw a penalty flag and he was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct excessive celebration.

The celebration was at no means excessive and he wasn't being unsportsmanlike at all! He made a great play to possibly send it into overtime and the officials penalized him for throwing the football into the air. Not only that, the Huskies should of overcame the penalty and BLOCKED like your suppose to for ALL PAT’s. If the line would have blocked, their kicker would have made a routine kick and sent the game into overtime. So the game wasn't all Locker's fault, mostly it was the Huskies special teams that lost the game for them. Plain and simple!!
